“All Herbs in the World Are Medicine. Chasing the Most Dazzling Ray of Light ”. the video message repeatedly graced the big screens at the 2024 ‘Seminar on International Communication of Chinese Medicine and Yi-Medicine Big Health Industry Development Promotion Conference’ held at Wyndham Garden in Chuxiong, Yunnan Province.
Stakeholders exchanged ideas on the consumption and promotion of Yi-Medicine among other traditional Chinese medicines organized by the China Center for International Communication Development (CCICD)in partnership with China Association of Chinese Medicine and Yi Yao.
Lu Cairong, vice chairperson China Publishing Association noted that a total of 20 representatives had been selected to participate in the Yi- Medicine Agenda as champions. He further advised stakeholders to focus on innovation and tell the story of Chinese medicine and Yi- medicine to make it more visible to people in China and the outside world.
Yan Shujiang, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine said that as an entity they are dedicated to deepen and promote Chinese Modernization and implement President Xi Ping’s call for a community of a shared future characterized by mutual learning and strengthen global governance to better innovate Chinese traditional medicine, promote good leadership and influence through the organization of conferences to publicize their activities for the health benefit of a common man globally.
Zhang Yan, an expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine as Gansu University, stressed the need for the establishment of global teaching and academic exchange programmes in which students around the world acquire and share knowledge on Traditional Chinese Medicine. That this could be through continued remote and physical tours, webinars, and exhibitions to market Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Marie Roland Alain, Mauritius’ Ambassador to China, who represented the Foreign Missions in China, thanked the organizers of the gathering aiming at promoting traditional health products. He gave an interesting testimony about using Chinese Traditional medicine while in the UK in previously had chronic stomach ailment that had led to his loss of appetite and chronic insomnia a recommendation to use Traditional Chinese medicine recommended by a friend saved him. He recommended the same to his Professor friend at Harvard College who has the same problem later which was a success, too.
He noted that the Yi Medicine and other Chinese Medicine launch are a scientific achievement for China and the World at large. He argued its easy access by all humanity, co-operation in the medical field and technological enhancement of China’s health projects globally.
Several traditional Chinese Medicine manufacturing companies gave presentations in the summit while others showcased their products in the exhibition and participated in the Yi-Medicine healthy living camp (massages and medicinal food) on the sidelines of the summit. These among others include He Yi Bainan Health Industry Group , KPC Pharmaceuticals Inc, Yun Nan Panlong Yunhai Pharmaceutical Co Ltd and Yunnan Huapai Pharmaceutical Technology Co. Ltd
