Justice for Khojaly:  Eternal Union Youth Public Union Commemorates Genocide 

On February 26, an event titled “Justice for Khojaly: Remember History, Protect the Future!” was held under the organization of the Eternal Union Youth Public Union in commemoration of the Khojaly Genocide.

Special guests at the event included Irada Alili, PhD in History and author of the book “Khojaly: Witnesses Speak,” published in 13 languages; Karabakh war veterans – Rukhsara Jumayeva (known as “Tutu”) and Oruc Jabbarov; Khojaly witnesses – Eldaniz Aghayev, Sevinc Valiyeva, Ayna Allahyar gizi; Colonel-Lieutenant in reserve Nizami Israfilov; Chairman of the Eternal Union Youth Public Union, Shahin Aliyev; and others. They spoke about the genocide committed in Khojaly by Armenian terrorists on February 26, 1992.

Speakers shared their personal experiences from the tragedy with the young audience, emphasizing the importance of remembering history and building a strong future. They highlighted that under the leadership of Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the glorious Azerbaijani Army avenged all martyrs and victims of the Khojaly genocide during the 44-day Patriotic War.

At the end of the event, Shahin Aliyev presented the “Honorary Service” Award and the painting “Khojaly” by artist Nizami Huseynov to Irada Alili. Khojaly witnesses and the winners of the “Bloody Night: Let the Voice of Khojaly Be Heard Worldwide” AI-designed competition were awarded special certificates of appreciation.

Additionally, Irada Alili awarded Shahin Aliyev an Honorary Diploma for his public service.
