Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Bronze Medalist, Samuel Takyi is very sure and confident of winning the 2021 Sports Personality Of The Year at the 46th MTN SWAG Awards Night.
The event takes place on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Center at 6pm.
Voting for the Awards by sports journalists (SWAG Members) begun on December 8 and will end on December 14.
The 8 categories to be voted for are Sports personality of the year, footballer of the year (foreign based), male footballer of the year (home based), female footballer of the year, athlete of the year and coach of the year.
Others are sports administrator of the year and professional boxer of the year.
Mr. George Lamptey, President of the Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GBF) is also tipped to win the sports administrator of the year award just like Coach of the year to Dr. Ofori Asare for successfully leading the Black Bombers to the African Olympic Qualifiers in Senegal and the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan
