Today, an event titled *”Iravan – Our Lifeline“* was organized by the “Eternal Union” Youth Public Union in partnership with the “For the Social Welfare of Citizens” Public Union. The event was attended by government representatives, heads of public organizations, youth, and other guests.
The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This was followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, as well as the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Opening the event, the chairman of the “Eternal Union” Youth Public Union and international human rights defender, Shahin Aliyev, spoke about the historical significance of Iravan and its role in Azerbaijan’s national memory. Following this, speeches were delivered by the chairperson of the “For the Social Welfare of Citizens” Public Union, Irada Rizazade, and a member of the Western Azerbaijan Community, Head of the Department of the Youth Council of Gafan District, Ayshe Abbasli.
In the artistic part of the event, reciters Zahra Najafzade and Malak Shairova presented poems on the topic of Iravan. Additionally, a video dedicated to the life and work of Amir Ali Sardari Iravani was shown. Guests also enjoyed a performance of the *”Bayati Shiraz”* mugham by Hazret Azizli and other musical compositions related to Iravan.
One of the special guests, Amir Ali Sardari Iravani, emphasized the historical significance of the Iravan Khanate and its importance for Azerbaijan during his speech. Other speakers included Zarifa Guliyeva, a relative of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and chairperson of the “Modern Family and Development” Public Union, and Haji Nuran Huseynov, an Azerbaijani TV presenter, philanthropist, and public figure.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to active volunteers and special guests. Shahin Aliyev presented the “National Leader” diploma to Amir Ali Sardari Iravani. The event, titled *”Iravan – Our Lifeline,”* inspired deep patriotism among the participants and once again highlighted the importance of national unity.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to the participants, noting that Iravan, as a historical heritage of Azerbaijan, will always remain in the nation’s memory.
