The Celebrity Golf Course in Sakumono hosted the last edition of the MTN Invitational Golf Tournament on Saturday, November 21, 2020 where Floria Hurtubiase maintained her supremacy in the ladies closest to the pin category.
Flora Hurtubise, a familiar face on the green course won the ladies division in December 2019 with 37 points with a handicap of 21.
The event which was organized to honor Prof. Plange-Rhule drew more than 130 participants from various golf clubs in Ghana.
Other winners on the day includes; Vivian Dick, Helen Appah, Leticia Amponsah-Mensah, Georgina Andoh, Emmanuel Gyasi, Isaac Awuni, Alex Oppong-Baffour, and Christopher Mbii.
Prior to its culmination at the Celebrity Golf Club last Saturday, the MTN Invitational Golf Tournament [played 4x in a year] had already travelled to the CRIG golf course in Tafo.
The event could not be organized in other areas in the second and third quarters due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MTN Invitational Golf Tournament – A tournament for champions is a special initiative of MTN Ghana with the aim of bringing together CEO’s under one umbrella to socialize and network whilst promoting the sport – golf.
