The proposed dates for the start of the 2018 Ghana Premier League (GPL) has been frozen after  Accra Great Olympics managed to halt the launching of the league on Monday, January 5, with an interlocutory injunction.

Tamimu Issah, Communications Director of the Premier League Board confirmed that the injunction letter was served around 4:00 pm by a member of the football association, Oloboi Commodore who doubles as the Managing Director of Accra based Great Olympics.According to Oloboi Commodore the legal bodies of the Ghana Football Association has failed to resolve cases before them by Great Olympics in relation to Bechem United and Elmina Sharks.

A deduction in points of the defaulter in the case in question will see Great Olympics jump the relegation gun
