Black Stars to play first friendly game ahead of AFCON 2021

As part of preparations towards the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon the Black Stars of Ghana have lined up a friendly game against African Champions – Algeria this afternoon at the Education City stadium.

Decision by foreign clubs not to release their players early enough for the African Cup of Nations has affected preparations of most countries but the Ghana Football Association has nonetheless manage to arrange this all important game to help the coach sharpen the rough edges of his team before the tournament takes off on January 09.

Coach Milovan Rajevac’s team has been enriched with the arrivals of Thomas Teye Partey, Daniel Amartey, Andre Ayew, and Jordan Ayew.

Ghana is placed in Group C together with Morocco, Comoros, and Gabon.
