Spiro is pleased to announce a collaboration with Horwin, a leading electric motorbike and scooter manufacturer to establish a Joint Venture Company aimed at meeting the growing demand for electric mobility solutions across Africa. This partnership will encompass the assembly of both electric bikes and batteries in local factories, generating employment opportunities and supporting local industries, with more than 5000 new jobs across Africa.

With over 9000 motorbikes already on the road, and an agreement in place to deploy 140,000 more bikes in Uganda over the next 5 years, Spiro commits to having multiple bike and battery assembly factories up and running by the end of 2023, each with an annual capacity of up to 100,000 bikes and 500,000 batteries.
